Purasome Exosomes

What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny nanovesicles secreted by all cells and these vesicles contain many signaling molecules including growth factors, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.

They are little spherical capsules surrounded by a bilayer membrane. Their function is to hold signaling molecules in a safe environment and deliver them directly to the target cell.

Exosomes originating from stem cells can regenerate and repair damaged or wounded tissue, reduce inflammation and protect against UV damage.

What skin conditions can Exosomes be used for?

Exosomes can be used for the following conditions:

  • Acne
  • Dermatitis e.g. eczema
  • Rosacea
  • Melasma
  • Hair Loss

Exosomes have numerous benefits. They can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by promoting collagen production and improving skin elasticity. This means smoother, firmer skin that looks more youthful.  Exosomes also work wonders for brightening your complexion. They can fade pigmentation issues caused by sun damage or aging, giving you a more even tone and radiant glow.

Additionally, Exosomes can help with acne-prone skin. The growth factors contained within these exosomes promote healing and reduce inflammation, resulting in clearer skin with fewer breakouts. Exosomes are also very important to improve acne scarring to revive and restore the skin.

Is there any scientific evidence to support the use of Exosomes for skincare?

Yes, there is a growing body of scientific evidence to support the use of exosomes for skincare.

Studies have shown that exosomes can be effective for treating a variety of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and hair loss.

Exosomes have also been shown to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing wrinkles and fine lines, and by improving the skin’s tone and texture.

Which Exosomes do you use at your clinic?

We use Purasomes by Dermoaroma, an Italian company. They have patented ‘Amplex Plus’ technology, which is a new technology to harness all the secretomes: exosomes, growth factors, cytokines, vitamins and macromolecules from bovine colostrum.

We have three different types of Purasomes to choose from depending on your concern:

  1. NC150+ for sun damaged skin, dry, wrinkled, sagging skin
  2. SG100+ for skin with pigmentation, post-inflammatory pigmentation plus or minus scarring from inflammatory conditions like rosacea and acne
  3. HSC50+ for hair loss and poor hair quality

The Purasomes exosomes contain 20 billion organic exosomes, 20 growth factors and a cocktail of vitamins, antioxidants, peptides, coenzymes and amino acids.

Are Exosomes safe for skin treatments?

Yes, exosomes are safe for skincare. They are naturally occurring molecules that are produced by the body’s own cells. Exosomes have been shown to be very well-tolerated by the skin, and there are no known side effects.

Does the Exosome solution contain live stem cells?

No! Stem cells are cultured to extract cytokines and growth factors used in the exosome solution to improve the outcomes of treatments. After the cytokines and growth factors are extracted from the stem cells, they go through a comprehensive filtering process, during which the exosomes are extracted from the media. There are no live stem cells, stem cells, or remnants of stem cells in the Exosome solutions.

What is involved in Exosomes treatment?

Exosomes are applied topically to the skin’s outer layer, but the skin is first prepared to allow them to penetrate to the mid layer. We can use either Dermapan microneedling or radiofrequency microneedling to prepare the skin or we can use mesotherapy to deliver the exosome solution into the skin.

Microneedling is a popular cosmetic procedure that involves using tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, leading to collagen and elastin production. This results in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. Radiofrequency microneedling combines the effects of radiofrequency energy to various depths of the skin as well as the effect of the penetration of the needles.

These treatments already have proven benefits for stimulating skin recovery, but these are enhanced considerably when combined with exosomes.

Exosome therapy can also be combined with platelet rich plasma or platelet rich fibrin for added efficacy.

How will my skin look and feel after a Purasome® Exosome treatment?

Immediately after treatment your skin may look and feel sensitive. A mild sensation of heat like sun burn may last for a few hours after the treatment. We encourage application of a hydrating masque post treatment such as the DMK hydrating masque.

The day after treatment your skin should be calmer in appearance.
After that, you should notice improvements in radiance and hydration as the skin starts to regenerate.

When will I see improvements?

Exosomes are not instant as it takes time for the skin’s regeneration mechanisms to respond. However, you can expect to see improvements within days to weeks following the treatment.

Additionally, exosomes can help reduce post-procedure downtime, as well as the redness that often accompany radiofrequency treatments.
